Chairs
Dr Olya Homonchuk, Research Fellow, ODI Global’s Development and Public Finance Programme and Policy Lead, Education Research in Conflict and Crisis (ERICC) Consortium
Olya is a Research Fellow in ODI Global’s Development and Public Finance Programme and Policy Lead for the Education Research in Conflict and Crisis (ERICC) Consortium, a £26 million FCDO-funded research portfolio on improving learning in protracted crisis with focal countries including Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Nigeria, South Sudan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. She previously co-led the Youth and Capabilities Development Domain at the African Cities Research Consortium, managed mixed-methods policy evaluations of UK domestic social programmes, and researched early years interventions for families with complex needs as part of her post-doctoral work at the University of Oxford. Olya holds a DPhil (2020) and MSc (2016) in Social Policy from the University of Oxford, and a BSc in Industrial and Labour Relations from Cornell University. Her doctoral research examined subjective poverty and inequality in Ukraine.
